Ginger Turmeric Tea

Equipment

  • Kettle
  • Sharp knife
  • Mug
  • Teaspoon

Ingredients
  

  • 3 slices ginger thinly sliced
  • 2 slices turmeric root thinly sliced
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 350 mL hot water
  • 2 tsp lemon juice freshly squeezed is best
  • 1 tsp honey choose pure, raw honey
  • 1 slice lemon optional

Instructions
 

  • Boil water in your kettle
  • Wash then thinly slice the ginger and turmeric - no need to peel
  • Add the slices to your mug along with a pinch of freshly ground black pepper
  • Pour the hot water over the ginger, turmeric and pepper in your mug. Allow to steep for 3 to 4 minutes - longer if you like it stronger.
  • To finish, stir in the honey and add a slice of fresh lemon
